LEATHER STRAP

BALANCE WHEEL

The spiral balance orchestrates the march of time and the precision of the watch through its oscillations. An oscillation is made up of two alternations: the anchor gives the impulse to the balance wheel, which rotates: this is the TIC. During this rotation, the balance-spring compresses, thus balancing the force sent. Then it relaxes and sends the pendulum back: this is the TAC. The energy thus regulated is transmitted to the hands by a chain of wheels.

RUBY

In addition to embellishing the mechanism, gemstones guarantee its quality and durability. Positioned at key points, the rubies reduce friction between parts, thus considerably reducing wear on internal components. As a result, movements are more robust and require less maintenance.

BLUE SCREWS

In keeping with traditional manufacturing techniques and the highest standards of finish, the screws are blued thanks to a controlled oxidation process that involves heating them to a temperature of 290°C until an intense, slightly pearly blue is obtained. As well as being aesthetically pleasing, blueing is an excellent treatment against corrosion.

WHEELS

Interdependent on each other, each component counts and must be crafted with extreme care to guarantee the movement's smooth running. Each gear is subjected to rigorous finishing standards to eliminate all traces of machining. Each moulding and tooth is carefully bevelled and polished by hand before being assembled with exceptional precision, demonstrating our commitment to craftsmanship excellence.
